Difficulty: Easy
Time needed: 5-10 minutes
What you'll need: Access to your computer and printer
Make sure your printer is turned on and connected. For USB printers, ensure the cable is firmly plugged into both the printer and computer. For wireless printers, check that the WiFi light on the printer is solid (not blinking).
Turn off the printer completely. Unplug it from power, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on. Wait for it to fully initialize.
Visit your printer manufacturer's website (HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, etc.), download the latest driver for your printer model, and install it.
Try connecting the printer via USB temporarily to rule out a WiFi issue. If USB works but wireless doesn't, you may need to reconnect the printer to your WiFi network using the printer's display panel or setup wizard.
Keep your printer firmware updated. Most modern printers have an auto-update option in their settings menu. Updated firmware fixes connectivity bugs and improves reliability.
